How did you start training?

gain lean mucle

I was always skinny growing up and teased for being shy, tall and lanky. I was sick of it and in the summer of 2006 after getting certified under BCRPA (British Columbia Recreation Parks and Association) I put myself on a 12 week muscle gaining program and gained 26 pounds clean. I used no steroids and no harmful supplements. I turned my story into an ebook and named it "No Excuses Just Results: My 26 Pound Transformation into Rock Hard Muscle in 12 Weeks" to inspire and educate young hardgainers and people everywhere. I eventually turned it into an ALL-IN-ONE lean muscle building success kit (a complete skinny guys guide to building muscle). I have never been more proud of anything in my life. Today I am a fitness author, personal trainer and bodybuilding enthusiast helping skinny guys everywhere build muscle.

Why do you love it?

It is my passion. The joy and greatness I feel from a mind blowing pump is priceless. I want to help others who were just like me to grow as people inside and out and make a difference in their lives. You are stronger than you think. Stay positive and results will come. I am a living example. It is my passion. I am a fitness/lifestyle/bodybuilder enthusiast who sets personal goals for himself and achieves them. I don't train to get girls, I don't want guys to envy me or be jealous of me. I train to relieve stress, because it's fun, it’s my favourite hobby and I plain out enjoy it. Eat clean, train clean, be happy and enjoy life. Gaining 26 pounds of muscle in 12 weeks was the best feeling of my life and nobody can take that away from me.

How do you stay motivated?

It's easy staying motivated about something I have learned to love. I will always be a bodybuilding and fitness enthusiast. I love being a success story and nobody can take that away from me.

What are your fitness accomplishments?

I gained 26 pounds muscle in 3 months and wrote my book "No Excuses Just Results" soon after. Being an inspiration to friends and family and being featured as Bodybuilder of the Week on Bodybuilding.com. I ventured into modeling and acting as well. My goal is simple. My years of training have allowed me to grow mentally and physically and there is a wealth of knowledge in me I feel which can help others who were once in my shoes. I hope my story will inspire all and ultimately show you that a once shy, tall, skinny kid transformed himself for the better and great things can happen with knowledge, drive, focus, commitment and determination to succeed at your goal. Overall I have learned it's about being healthy. Yes I love bodybuilding and looking good but healthy eating and training consistently is the answer to longevity. It's about a lifestyle. You should mentally want to be as strong as you are physically. I'm not going to lie and say I don't want big arms and a bigger chest because I do and it is forever etched in the male brain that bigger equals better and I am no exception but ultimately when we all sit back and self reflect and ask ourselves what is the only muscle that we really need in order to live.....it is the heart.

What motivates you to follow a healthy lifestyle?

It's easy staying motivated about something I have learned to love. I will always be a bodybuilding and fitness enthusiast. I love being a success story and nobody can take that away from me. I want to inspire others to reach their fitness goals through my story. God bless, train hard, and eat healthy. Remember, combining a healthy body with a healthy mind will enable your life to shine in many ways. I feel that there is an endless cycle in life and there will always be a new breed of young ambitious people wanted to train and follow a healthy lifestyle and build muscle. My hope is they’ll be given correct muscle building information. In addition, I feel that inspirations come from all over in life. I inspire others and others inspire me. Pay your dues in the gym. The short term pain in the gym is temporary but the results are long term and extraordinary. Every other pain in life takes weeks, months or years to overcome. Remember that pain in the gym is weakness leaving the body. That is my motivation.

What made you want to achieve your goals?

It was all for me. I was tall, shy, and awkward growing up with no confidence. Gaining muscle and making that transformation physically was great and it was a platform that enabled me to grow as a person and grow from the inside. I wanted to educate myself and now I want to help others who were just like me. I learned you are stronger than you think. Your mind will always give up before your body does and that is the reason why many people throw in the towel before they even get started. Stay positive and results will come. I am a living example.

What are your future plans?

My goal is simple. To educate, inspire, teach, and motivate others. Just make a commitment and put your mind to it and great things will happen. I cannot help but feel at times that I am blessed, but I had to work extremely hard to get to where I am physically and mentally. My journey has allowed me to venture into modeling and acting as well.

What one tip would you give other bodybuilders/hardgainers?

I was a shy skinny kid who gained 26 pounds in 12 weeks and wrote an ebook to help people everywhere. Impossible is nothing, so reach for the stars. Eat clean, train clean, be happy and enjoy life. Success will follow if you work hard. Have you ever heard of someone putting a 110% effort level into something and not getting anything out of it? Very unlikely. I think it is much more important for a person to grow mentally first in order for them to grow than physically because it’s all about the mind body connection and to master it you need to put your ego aside to begin the journey. Let me tell you from experience that your biggest enemy can be yourself when it comes to training and diet, so stay strong and never give up on your goals.

Who are your favourite bodybuilders and inspirations in life?

I am a huge fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, and being of Indian descent I am a huge fan of Bollywood actors Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan. In addition, fitness model Greg Plitt is a huge inspiration.
